The Next New Thing

Over the last few years we've been watching a trend of more and more people using social media sites. With the creation of Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, Google Plus, and many more, there is a reliance and dependence of social media sites. I believe the next step would be a platform that combines all of these sites. From one website, I'll be able to access my Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Google, Email Accounts. This would simply the web and allow people to sign into one site and have access to all their other info. It would provide a simplicity that people are in need of.

  1. This idea is similar to meebo, which combines many chat services into one place. I think service is great as it cuts time on going back and forth on different windows/sites. I would very much like if this service is made available.

  2. I agree, it would make things so much simpler. Also, when you have a lot of windows open it takes longer to load pages. Many people would use something like this to save time and make things easier for themselves.

  3. I really like your idea about consolidating all of these sights. It will really streamline the process and information that is provided to people and it will enable people to inter-connect all of these sites such as sending a tweet from facebook or sedning a comment or posting pictures and uploading once to all sites. Here was my next new thing With the vast growth of new media and governmental issues and pure doubt in their capabilities of doing an ethical or quality job, I would like to see an interactive medium where we can communicate with various government officials. The website would be strictly for public and government use. The public can see what new bills are on the table, issues, and when someone runs for office, any office, such as councilman/woman, congress, or even president. They will all have a profile, what contributions they have made in the past and what their plans are to fix the current issues. The media site will allow a wiki portion where people can post facts about the individual. Fact checkers, of course will have to verify the information to ensure no unethical behavior. I think this is a great way to demonstrate transparency by allowing face time, posting salaries, bonus, etc.. It will also be interactive where the public can write blogs, and comments and allow for a response from the government official or potential candidate.

  4. This idea is a greta idea. I feel people have trouble organizing there social media sites and accounts. If there was a platform similar to what you are explaining above, I think everyone who uses social media would use your platform. Many poeple open Facebook, google, twitter and many other pages all at the same time. With a platform available time would be saved and social medias would be alot more simple and easy to use.
